Samsung's ONLY Android Wear device. Launched the same day as the LG G Watch as one of the two devices announced alongside the Android Wear platform itself at Google I/O 2014. Samsung then moved its entire wearable line to its own Tizen OS starting with the Gear S later that same year, and did not return to Wear OS until the Galaxy Watch4 in 2021 (a seven-year gap, seeded in phase-1). All Tizen-era Gear/Galaxy Watch models (Gear 2, Gear S, Gear S2, Gear S3, Gear Sport, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active/Active2) are correctly excluded from this Wear OS/Android Wear database.
